Origin Story
ASAP was born out of a deep frustration with slow-moving reforms and exposure to the daily miracles delivered by the sector. Despite systemic barriers and sclerotic funding, educators and leaders consistently demonstrate resourcefulness, resilience, and rigour.

Seeking to harness this potential, PAG and Create: Schools partnered with system leaders to launch ASAP. We have been empowered to stand up by friends, clients, and partners we’ve met on our journey. They convinced us that we could play a key role as an independent, external catalyst to help the sector produce, prove, and promote solutions that often suffer from a lack of capacity and profile.
Our goal is simple - ASAP will create breathing space to allow the SEND & Alternative Provision (AP) system to heal.
Specifically, we will focus on projects that can deliver cashable savings within 12-18 months with no negative impact on provision.

We’ll do this by:

-
Providing an incubator for promising practice in SEND & AP, whatever the provenance
-
Identifying, evaluating, and scaling effective SEND & AP solutions in progress, supporting where required
-
Validating projects already operating successfully and developing toolkits to benefit the wider sector
-
Connecting stakeholders to allow scaling at pace

Impactful, inclusive and cost-effective SEND & AP practice should not be the exception.
ASAP’s mission is to drive system change by supporting and scaling promising models of SEND & AP autonomy - led by those closest to the challenge.
